The following agreement outlines the terms and conditions on which we will provide regulated financial services and products to you. Our Status

Business and Home Saver Limited t/a Home Saver and Business Saver is authorised by the Central Bank of Ireland as an Insurance Intermediary under the European Communities (Insurance Mediation) Regulations, 2005 and a Mortgage Intermediary under the Consumer Credit Act, 1995. Business and Home Saver Limited t/a Home Saver and Business Saver is subject to and complies with the Consumer Protection Code, Minimum Competency Code and the Fitness and Probity Standards as laid down by the Central Bank of Ireland and these codes are in place for the protection of the consumer and can be found on


We will offer advice and/or act as an agent on your behalf on a fair analysis basis in relation to the following services:

We will identify and select a suitable product producer and on receipt of your instructions we will transmit orders on your behalf to one of more product producers (a list of which is available upon request).

General Insurance

For the purposes of General Insurance (Private Motor and Household Insurance), we are an introducing agent for Chill Insurances and will collect information from you and pass to Chill Insurance who will use solely it for the purpose of transmitting orders for those productsIFG McGivern Flynn Teoranta t/a Insure4Less

Health Insurance

For the purposes of Health Insurance, we are an introducing agent for Insure4Less, who in turn is a tied agent of Aviva Health Insurance Limited. We will collect information from you and pass to Insure4Less who will use it solely for the purpose of transmitting orders to Aviva Health Insurance Limited for Health Insurance products. IFG McGivern Flynn Teoranta t/a Insure4Less is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland and Aviva Health Insurance Limited is regulated by the Central bank of Ireland.

Commissions and Charges

Home Saver receives commissions and other payments from product producers. These commissions and payments are based on agreed terms with product providers and vary from product to product. Details of the amount of the actual commissions and other payments will be included, where applicable, in the product information documents you will receive before a product proposal is completed by you. These commissions are paid periodically by the product producers at varying rates depending on the product.

Where Home Saver receives a commission from the product producer no other charges will be charged for the services provided to you. We may also receive additional marketing or other support payments directly from Financial Institutions where we have transacted large volumes of business. These will not be offset against any amounts due by you to us. Home Saver may share commission or payments from product producers with other third parties, or receive remuneration from them in respect of transactions carried out on your behalf. Where a third party charge is incurred, it will be passed on to you.

Where we provide a service to you on a face to face basis, there is no cost , though if a large amount of work needs to be done a fee may be incurred but will be agreed before any work commences.

Mortgage Fees

Homesaver may receive mortgage commission from lenders from .35% up to 1% of the value of the amount borrowed. Appendix 1 includes a list of lenders who have granted agencies to Homesaver.

Product Producer Rights & Default

If there is any payments due or unpaid to a product producer for any products arranged by us the product producer may withdraw benefits or cover. The product producer’s rights in this regard will be set out in the product terms and conditions. Home Saver does not accept any liability in the event of the default of any Product Producer.

Conflicts of interest

Your attention is drawn to the fact that in providing the services herein we, or some person connected with Homesaver, may have an interest, relationship or arrangement that is material in relation to the transaction or service concerned. Home Saver seeks to avoid any conflicts of interest but should a conflict arise our employees are required to comply with the policy of independence, explain the existence of the conflict of interest to you and disregard any such interest when making recommendations to you. You will be required to acknowledge the conflict of interest and your desire to proceed with any proposed transaction in writing.

Fact Find to be provided

Before we enter into a relationship with you we must complete a fact-find report. This is to ensure that we have gathered sufficient information from you to determine the most appropriate service and/or product for you. We will ask you to review the Fact Find to confirm if the information that we have gathered is accurate before we proceed to recommending a service and/or product to you.

Statements of Suitability

In relation to Life Assurance, Serious Illness and protection products we will write to you confirming your agreement with our reasons for recommending a specific product or provider.

Client Contact

To be able to provide you with a high level of service, there may be occasions when we need to contact you without your express invitation. For example we may feel it is in your interest to invest in a particular product and we would wish to be able to inform you of that fact. We therefore maycontact you in such circumstances. We would, however, do so only between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on business days. We will of course comply with any other restriction, which you notify us of in writing.

At Home Saver we feel we may have products which may be of interest to you from time to time. For this reason we are proposing to add your personal data onto a central database for the purpose of offering you other products and services, which we believe, may be of interest to you. If you do not wish us to share information relating to your account with Home Saver please indicate this in the acknowledgement of these terms and returning it to us. Otherwise we will assume it is in order to do so.


If you are unable to resolve a complaint with the person you are dealing with, you should refer the matter in writing to the Managing Director, Business and Home Saver Limited for further investigation. Your complaint will be acknowledged within 5 working days and you will be notified of your point of contact until the complaint is resolved. Home Saver will undertake a full investigation of the complaint and, while the investigation is ongoing, furnish you with updates at intervals not greater than 20 working days. On completion of the investigation Home Saver will inform in writing as to the outcome and any action proposed by Home Saver in respect of the complaint. If you are not satisfied at any time you can refer the matter to the Financial Services Ombudsman, Lincoln House, Lincoln Place, Dublin 2. The Financial Services Ombudsman deals with complaints against any regulated firm that relate to the following ‘eligible customers’:

Personal customers (i.e. individuals not acting in the course of business);
o Small companies (defined as companies with turnover less than €3m); and
o Unincorporated bodies (includes partnerships, trusts, clubs & charities).
If you do not qualify as an ‘eligible customer’ and you are not satisfied at any time with the handling of your complaint you can refer the matter to the Central Bank of Ireland, P.O. Box 9138, College Green, Dublin 2.

Credit Policy and Defaults

We regret that credit cannot be extended to consumers in respect of premiums, initial, renewal or additional. Initial or first premiums must be paid at inception of cover and renewal premiums before the policy renewal date otherwise the Company will advise the insurance undertaking or product producer involved and cover will be cancelled. Home Saver will, if necessary, exercise its legal rights to (i) receive any payments due to us from you for services provided by us; and (ii) be reimbursed for any value obtained by Business and Homesaver Limit arising from payments by us on your behalf should you subsequently default in any payment due to us.

Money Laundering

Home Saver is obliged by law to obtain certain client identification documents in respect of certain transactions, in accordance with anti-money laundering legislation. We may request from you, and retain, some information and documentation for these purposes. If satisfactory evidence of your identity is not provided within a reasonable timeframe, we may not be able to proceed with your instructions.

Data Protection and Confidentiality of Information

Home Saver may use, store or otherwise process personal information provided by you. The information Home Saver hold about you is confidential and will not be used for any purpose other than in connection with the provision of the agreed services. Information of a confidential nature will be treated as such provided that such information is not already in the public domain. Information of a confidential nature will only be disclosed outside of Homesaver, in the following circumstances:

In accordance with the Data Protection legislation in Ireland, you are entitled to a copy of the information Home Saver holds about you, on payment of a fee. In the first instance, you should direct any such request to Home Saver. You should let us know if you think any information we hold about you is inaccurate, so that we may correct it.

In accordance with the Record Retention Statement below, you will not be at liberty to request the destruction or deletion of any record pertaining to yourself unless Home Saver are required to do so by force of law or other regulatory requirement.

Record Retention

In accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, Home Saver will retain your records, for a minimum period of six years, including the period following the termination of any relationship between us. This period may be extended by force of law, regulatory requirement or agreement amongst us.

Amendment & Severability

Home Saver reserves the right to alter these Terms and Conditions at any time, upon giving 10 business days’ notice in advance. You are deemed to have consented to any alteration that may be effected to these terms andconditions if Home Saver does not receive notification otherwise from you, in writing, within the time that the changes were notified to you and their coming into effect. If any provision of these terms are or become illegal, void or unenforceable under the laws of any applicable jurisdiction the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Default Rights and Remedies

Home Saver will exercise its full legal right to recover any monies due to it arising from the provisions of any services.

Liability and Indemnity

Business and Home Saver Limited t/a Home Saver and Business Saver (including its Directors, staff and agents) shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you other than where such loss or damage arises as a direct result of negligence or wilful default on our part and, in any event, will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss (including loss of profit or loss or damage to business or reputation). Business and Home Saver Limited t/a Home Saver and Business Saver shall not have any liability for any circumstance or failure to provide any service if such circumstance or failure results from any event or state of affairs beyond the control of Homesaver, including, without limitation, any failure of communication or computer systems or equipment.
You undertake to indemnify Business and Home Saver Limited t/a Home Saver and Business Saver against any liability (including legal costs) Business and Home Saver Limited t/a Home Saver and Business Saver may incur arising from the provision of services.

Governing Law

Irish law will govern the provision of the services covered by this letter, and the Irish courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

Client Acknowledgement and Data Protection Consent

I/We acknowledge and confirm that I/we have been provided with a copy of the Terms of Business of Business and Home Saver Limited t/a Home Saver and Business Saver and that I/we have read through and understand these terms.
Home Saver will treat all personal information given to it in confidence as confidential information and we will not disclose such information except as permitted by you or as required by law. The personal data you provide us will be held on paper and electronically and will only be used for the purposes permitted by the Data Protection Acts. You permit us to share your personal data with lending institutions and/or insurance institutions and other regulated financial services providers for the purposes of providing you the services you have requested.
I/We consent to Business and Home Saver Limited contacting me/us by letter, email, SMS text or telephone regarding any products which may be of interest. Where a third party has introduced me to Business and Home Saver Limited , I/we also consent to the disclosure to that third party of information regarding advice provided and/or transactions arranged on my/our behalf.

Non-Regulated Services

ovision of regulated services and products, we offer other services such as cost reviews on utilities, tax rebate services and referral to a debt solution service. These services are not subject to regulation by the Central Bank of Ireland.

Homesaver Monitoring

Homesaver for a monthly fee of 15 Euro will provide you with full cost review , monthly updates, advice on when new deals become available , discounts and negotiated deals. This monthly fee can be cancelled at any time. (i.e. no fixed contract)

Tax Rebate

For payee workers our tax department willcharge 15 % of any rebate received. If there is no rebate, there is no charge

Debt Solution Service

We don’t charge any fee for this we if appropriate will introduce you our specialists in this field Grant Thornton and they will look to see if they can broker an agreement under the new legislation on personal insolvency ( unable to meet repayments on loans as they fall due )
